September War 1965

The year then was 1965

In the month of September

Without warning the enemy advanced to capture our country Pakistan

With their three times size

They came during the night

Little did they all know

They would get a big surprise

As the war progressed along

They found something was wrong

Everywhere they tried to go

All were met with heavy blows

Whether Air, Sea or Ground

They seemed to lose every round

Our Air Force shot them in the sky

Our Army stopped their stride

And while our Navy was not behind

Our civilians fought side by side

It is said their chief did say

In Lahore Gymkhana I shall drink

Very soon within a day

Humiliated disgraced in a big way

To eat up his words he had to bray

While our officers, men and the lot

As wild bears, tigers, lions fought

The war was short but intense

We did lose many a brave men

But they did not die in vain

Pakistan won and had to remain

And on this day of Sept Six

Our Shaheed and heroes we do

Remember and pay them homage

For their bravery, valor and courage

As Shaheeds in Heaven they all live

Forget them we never will.
