Well it was fifty years ago, when we first met
Not knowing the association in nurturing, we will never forget
Cold dark nights and young stout teen
Stand in the line to face the mean
Innocent, shrewd, prudent and wise
Stand together to enjoy the dice
In the dip, around the tree
under the chair and there we flee
Flee from the wrath of our superiors
Who made our lives seemed inferior
During exercises when we walked
Some made fun while other thwart
LMG here, LMG there
Writing a lecture was a dear affair
Cavorting around and making fun
We never imagined what the time has done
Today gazing back with happiness and pride
on fifty cherished years we’ve spent side by side,
We feel honoured, glad and gratified
As we lived like an entity satisfied
The reminiscences, the memories we all recall
How grateful we are to our mighty lord!
