I will know we are on the same page in our fight against terrorism when:
Mumtaz Qadri is sent to the gallows without street agitations from the religious parties.
The Pakistani citizenship of the likes of Munawwar Hasan and the Burka Mullah are withdrawn for their obvious tilt towards the TTP/ISIS.
The curriculums of all our Madrassahs are scrutinized to ensure these do not promote hate and intolerance of other faiths and beliefs.
All mosque Imams are held accountable if any support of the TTP/ISIS narrative is pronounced from their pulpits.
Mosque Imams inciting the public to acts of violence in the name of religion are also charged, tried and punished for murder if their pronouncements result in the killing of any citizen of the country.
Leaders of banned outfits are not allowed to resurface under the guise of heading charitable organisations.
The KPK government withdraws the curriculum changes in the public schools in their province which promote hate, intolerance and/or distort history.
The political parties who were openly supporting peace talks with the TTP apologise to the nation for their poor judgment.
The print and electronic media do not give space to any person or material that even remotely support or justify the poisnous TTP /ISIS narrative.
All Mosques and Madrassahs are formally registered and appropriate actions are initiated against those who fail to do so or are constructed on unauthorised lands.
A concerted effort is made by the state and the people to expose the hollowness of the TTP/ISIS narrative which they claim to be Islamic.
The military and civilian defence experts whose sympathy with the TTP movement was evident in the past are exposed for their double standards.
A similar public outcry that was forthcoming in the Peshawar massacre is witnessed when the victims are from the Pakistani minority communities.
